What happened?

The giveaway’s Entry Period opened on May 27, giving eligible participants time to register before the Prize Period became active.

The rules limit participants to one entry and warn that attempts to obtain additional entries using multiple accounts, identities or entry methods can result in disqualification.

Hard Rock states that no purchase is necessary to enter or win and that making a purchase does not increase a participant’s odds.

Why the $1 million headline needs context

The $1 million award appears in Hard Rock’s published prize schedule, but it represents one prize among a much larger pool. The Official Rules list the odds of receiving the $1 million cash prize as 1 in 2,000,000.

Most of the 2 million listed prizes are instead Wdollars, which the rules identify as virtual currency. Hard Rock does not assign those virtual-currency prizes a cash retail value in the prize table.

The phrase “2 million prizes” therefore does not mean Hard Rock is distributing 2 million cash prizes.

Which US residents are eligible?

The Official Rules state that the promotion is open to eligible US residents except residents of the following states:

Participants must be at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority where they live. Hard Rock’s rules also state that certain self-excluded or banned guests are not eligible.

The no-purchase mail option

Hard Rock’s Official Rules provide a free mail-entry route. Valid mail entries are included in the same random-selection process as eligible in-app entries, and the rules state that a mail entry has the same chance of winning a prize as an in-app entry.

Mail entries must be received during the Entry Period. Proof that an entry was sent does not count as proof that it arrived before the deadline.

What remains uncertain?

Hard Rock does not publish a live entry counter showing exactly how many of the maximum 2 million entries have already been received.

There is therefore no confirmed way to know whether the promotion will continue until noon ET on August 27 or reach its entry limit earlier.

Hard Rock support describes an eligible wheel spin as producing a guaranteed prize. Eligibility, verification, entry and prize-claim requirements still apply, so the wording does not amount to an unconditional guarantee for every person who attempts to participate.

What players should know before taking part

Players considering the giveaway should confirm that their age and location satisfy the current eligibility requirements and should not attempt to enter more than once.

There is also no reason to make a purchase in an attempt to increase the chance of winning. Hard Rock expressly states that purchases do not improve the odds.
