Sweeps Coins vs Gold Coins: SC and GC Explained
Gold Coins are used for entertainment. Sweeps Coins are promotional units used in sweepstakes play, where eligible winnings may qualify for prizes. A coin balance is not the same as an approved prize.

How to read a coin package
A package can show a purchase price, an entertainment-coin quantity and a promotional addition together. Clubs Poker’s rules distinguish a GC purchase from the SC bonus attached to a specifically marked package. [1]

Playable balance vs eligible balance

Even meeting a minimum does not guarantee approval. Verification, eligibility and the applicable rules can still affect a request. A stated prize value is conditional prize information, not proof that every displayed SC is cash. [3]
Why the rules still matter
Understanding the currencies is the first step. The rules determine which activity, balances and accounts can qualify.
Playthrough requirements
Clubs Poker’s June 30, 2026 rules require at least one play and allow a higher requirement. A single “1x everywhere” assumption is therefore not reliable. Read the requirement attached to the platform or promotion. [1]

Check the selected coin mode and which games count under the relevant rules. Pulsz’s Social Live Casino help says coin availability depends on the game and location; access in one mode does not promise access in another. [4]
Account and location eligibility
Identity and other account checks remain separate from the displayed balance. Use the current platform rules and account notices for age, location and verification requirements rather than assuming a general guide confirms eligibility. [1] [3]
The selected prize method
Look for the qualifying amount and minimum that apply to that particular method. McLuck’s guidance distinguishes cash and gift-card requirements; one method’s threshold is not a universal threshold for every request. [3]
Separate rewards are separate units
Modo’s December 10, 2025 announcement described Stars earned through Gold Coin play and usable for Gold Coin packages. That is a separate rewards mechanism, not a GC-to-SC exchange. Treat free spins, points and other programme labels according to their own rules rather than adding them to an SC balance. [6]
The dated Modo example does not establish its current rewards catalogue.
Check before assuming; do not chase a threshold. A displayed minimum is not a reason to buy more coins or continue playing. When a balance or condition is unclear, use the platform’s official support channel. Keep optional spending within an entertainment budget.

Why is the full SC balance not available for a prize request?
The displayed total may include amounts that are not yet qualifying. The chosen prize method can also have a minimum, and verification or other account conditions can remain outstanding. In the hypothetical example, 90 eligible SC does not meet a 100-eligible-SC minimum, even though the total is 120 SC. [3]
Does every site use the same playthrough or redemption minimum?
Can every game be played in both currency modes?

Are free spins, loyalty points and other rewards the same as SC?
