The Win Zone Closes: October 23 Redemption Deadline
The Win Zone has ended gameplay. Affected players should check remaining balances and submit eligible redemption requests before the operator’s cutoff.
What happened to The Win Zone?
PLAYSTUDIOS disclosed that it decided on September 18, 2026, to cease operating The Win Zone, its sweepstakes product. The corporate filing is dated September 23.
The company also estimated a $3 million to $3.5 million impairment charge connected with the product’s software assets. This accounting adjustment is not an announced fund for player refunds or redemptions.
The PLAYSTUDIOS Form 8-K details the closure decision and expected impairment charge.
The closure schedule
- September 22: Purchases and free coin distribution ended.
- September 24: Gameplay ended.
- October 23: Redemption submissions close at 11:59 p.m., labeled “PST” in the operator’s notice.
Remaining SC playthrough requirements are removed. The minimum redemption is 1 SC, except gift cards, which retain a 50 SC minimum. Gold Coins have no redemption value and were voided when gameplay ended.
Full redemption details are available in The Win Zone closure notice. Learn more about the difference between the currencies in Sweeps Coins and Gold Coins explained.
Why the closure matters
The end of gameplay and the end of redemption access are separate milestones. For affected players, the practical priority is resolving verification issues and keeping records of outstanding requests.
In its August 11 second-quarter results, PLAYSTUDIOS said The Win Zone’s engagement and monetization were below internal expectations. The company had reduced investment and limited meaningful marketing spending while reassessing its sweepstakes initiatives.
PLAYSTUDIOS has not identified a particular law or regulator as the cause of the closure in these announcements. The closure announcement applies to The Win Zone, not every PLAYSTUDIOS game.
What players should do now
- Use your established account access. Avoid login links sent by unfamiliar accounts or unsolicited messages.
- Complete outstanding verification. Check the redemption screen and resolve account issues promptly.
- Keep records. Save your balance, request confirmation and support correspondence.
- Report errors early. Record any failed request and contact support through the established account channel.
The operator says timely requests can finish processing after the cutoff. Unredeemed SC expires afterward. A submitted request is not proof that payment has completed.
Do not wait for the final evening
The notice uses “PST.” Submit well beforehand rather than relying on a last-minute timezone conversion. Ask support for clarification if needed.
Track your redemption until payment arrives and retain the request confirmation and any support correspondence.
Keep account recovery separate from further play
A closure is not a reason to chase losses elsewhere or rush into purchases at another casino. Never share passwords, verification codes or identity documents with unsolicited “refund agents.”

Check your account, resolve outstanding verification and retain a clear record of your redemption request.
